Funding
Tipalti payments begin with funding. Your Tipalti accounts need to have enough funds to process your payments on time and prevent them from being deferred.
There are two ways to fund your account:
-
-
▶ ACH debit (automatic)
It takes 4 business days to process ACH debit (automatic) to fund your account.
-
▶ Wire/ACH
Tipalti will deposit incoming funds within 1 business day of them arriving into our bank account. Refer to your bank for information on how long it will take for funds to be credited to Tipalti.
-
Payments
After your Tipalti virtual account is funded, payments are batched and sent to our partner banks at 10:30 AM PST on business days, Monday-Friday. Review the diagram below to learn more about the payment process.
Notes:
- “T” refers to the date a payment was sent for execution by the bank.
- Timeframes are estimates based on when the funds arrive.
- Arrival to payee is dependent on mail routes/timelines.
- See more details for international Payments.
- Refer to your specific funding instructions from the Add Funds tab in the Tipalti AP Hub. If you have multiple virtual accounts, funding instructions may differ per account. Follow the instructions for each account.
