Payee information FAQs
You need the View Payees user role to search for payee information on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Click here for instructions on how to search for a payee. Once you have found the payee's record, you see the payee's general, contact, payment and tax information. You may need to click at the end of each section to reveal further information. Navigate through the subtabs and all information that appears is related to that specific payee.
You need the View Secure Details user role to view sensitive payee information. If you do not have this role, sensitive information is masked by asterisks.
There are several factors that can make a payee unpayable (see Unpayable reasons). The payee's payable status displays beside the payee name on the payee record. Go to the "Payees" tab and search for the payee. Hover over the tooltip beside the payable status to see the reason why your payee is unpayable. Also check the account status of the payee. On the payee record, in the GENERAL row, look at the "Account Status" field, which indicates if the payee's account is currently active, blocked or suspended.
You need the Payee Reviewer role to review, approve or decline payee changes. Go to Payees > Payees Pending Review subtab to see the payees who have made changes to their account information. To view a payee's record, at the end of the payee row, click and select "View".
To view the actions the payee has been performing in the iFrame/ Supplier Hub, on the payee record, click the "Log" subtab. You see the date and time of the interaction, a description of the action and the IPInternet Protocol address from where the action was performed.
To accept or reject the updates, go back to the "Payees Pending Review" subtab. At the end of the payee row, click and select "Approve" or "Decline".

Payee payments
The payee's payment method is listed on the payee record. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Refer to the PAYMENT DETAILS row. At the end of this row, click to reveal further information. If you see "+ More", click it to reveal more details.
You need the View Payees and View Bills user roles to view payee bills. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Click the "Bills" subtab, which displays a history of all the payee's bills.
Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Click the "Payments" subtab to view payment history. Click a payment row to view its details.
The payee fee for each payment represents the summation of "Payee transaction fee + Submitted currency to payee currency FXForeign exchange rate". The net amount disbursed to the payee is "Amount submitted – (Payee transaction fee + Submitted currency to payee currency FX rate)". These field values are displayed in a "Payment details" report.
Payee tax information
Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Refer to the TAX INFO row. At the end of this row, click to reveal further tax information. If you see "+ More", click it to reveal more details.

You need the Update Payee user role to waive tax form submission. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Click the "Settings" subtab. Beside "Allow payee not to submit W9 for payments under USD 600", click the toggle button to "On", then click the check mark to confirm your selection. You need the Update Payee user role to acknowledge receipt of a manual tax form. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. At the top right of the screen, click "Actions", hover over "Tax form" and select "Tax form submitted manually". Click "Ok". For more information about updating tax information, click here.
You need the Update Payee user role to invalidate tax forms. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. At the top right of the screen, click "Actions", hover over "Tax form" and select "Invalidate tax form". Click "Ok". For more information about updating tax information, click here.
You need the Update Payee user role to download tax form details. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. At the top right of the screen, click "Actions", hover over "Tax form" and select "Download 'tax' form". For more information about updating tax information, click here.
You need the View Documents user role to view payee documentation. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Click the "Documents" subtab. A list of the payee's documents displays. At the end of a document row, click and select "Download".
If the document is pending approval and you have the Documents Approval user role, you may approve or reject the document by selecting that option from the dropdown menu.
Payee risk
You need the Risk Management user role can find payee risk information. Search for the payee on the "Payees" tab of the Tipalti Hub. Click the "Detect Info" subtab, then click a risk case row to view its details. For further information on viewing and resolving risk cases, click here.
