Bill approval for PO-backed bills
For PO-backed bills, approval is required if the bill has matching exceptions that could not be fully reconciled. Whether the approver can approve the bill without updates being made to the bill, POs or receipts depends on several factors, including if exception approval thresholds have been defined and if the exception is below or above the threshold.
By defining thresholds for different fields used in matching, approvers are able to approve minor differences without the bill, POs or receipts having to be updated—examples are differences in price or quantity. If thresholds have not been defined, any difference is considered an non-approvable exception.
