User roles
Each user role enables particular Tipalti Hub functionality. Users can be assigned to one or more roles. If users have multiple accounts, different roles can be assigned to the same user for each account. To find out which roles you have been assigned, contact your designated user with the Payer Administration role.
If you exceeded the number of users you purchased, you will be charged for each additional user beyond the number originally stipulated in your contract. Note that users with only bill approver user roles are free of charge.

Payments
Approve Payment |
- Enables the user to approve or decline a payment file uploaded to the Tipalti Hub
- Users receive email notifications of payments submitted that need approval.

Payees
Add Payee |
Allows the user to:
- Add payees to the Supplier Hub and Tipalti Hub
- Send existing payees an invite to register in the Supplier Hub
- Reset the payee's login email for the Supplier Hub

If the payee is already registered with the Supplier Hub, this role allows the user to update payee payment details by logging into the Supplier Hub as the payee. |

Payee Reviewer |
Enables the user to review, approve, request an update, and decline payee details that have been entered in the iFrame or Supplier Hub

Allows the user to:
- Update payee tax information and settings related to transactions, payments , and invoice approvals
- Manually submit signed payee W-9 tax forms to Tipalti on behalf of the payee
- Reset payee passwords and 2FA, and update payee information, such as email address, preferred entity, and name and company of payees registered in the Supplier Hub
- Block/ unblock and suspend/ unsuspend a payee from the payee record

If the payee has not yet registered with the Supplier Hub, this role allows the user to update payee payment details by logging into the Supplier Hub on behalf of the payee. |

Approval Management |
Allows the user to:
- Approve bills on behalf of the designated approver
- Retract approved bills
- Manually route bills for PO matching
- Send bills for approval without PO matching

- Assign GL accounts to bills
- Send bills back to AP
- Users receive a daily email informing them of all bills pending approval.

- The user receives an email notification when a document is uploaded by the payee.
