Business continuity practices
Tipalti maintains systems and procedures to ensure business continuity.
Impact areas
The critical impact areas under consideration are:
- The ability of the payee to enter details in the iFrame
- The ability of the payer to submit payment instructions
- The ability of Tipalti to execute payment instructions
Backup procedures
System
- Tipalti maintains two sets of images of its systems: a daily image (created nightly) and a weekly backup (created every weekend). The images are stored on AWSAmazon Web Services and a 3rd-party backup service, Mozy.
- Tipalti's disaster recovery site contains a copy of the database, which is updated every 30 minutes.
Database
- A mirror of the database is maintained at all times.
- The database is constantly replicated from Tipalti to an off-site location and a full backup occurs weekly.
Monitoring
Tipalti’s servers are monitored at the server and the application level every second.
Recovery
- Recovering an image takes approximately five minutes.
- If DNSDomain Name System changes are required, an additional 15 minutes (approximately) is required to complete recovery.
