Bill reports
Required user role View Bills
The Bill details report provides you with an up-to-date status of all payee bills loaded during a specific month or date range. Bills with the following statuses are included.
- Pending review
- Review matching
- Pending approval
- Pending payment
- Pending AP action
- Submitted for payment
- Scheduled for payment
- Paid
- Disputed
To download:
- Click the Reports tab to open the list of available reports.
- In the menu, under "Bills", click "Bill details". The right side of the screen populates with information related to the report.
- In the "Date" field, select either "Range" or "Month".
- In the "Based on" field, select if you want the report organized based on "Invoice date" or "Bill creation date".
- In the "Display mode" field, select "Bills" or "Bill lines". Selecting "Bills" produces a spreadsheet with one bill displayed per row, whereas selecting "Bill lines" produces a spreadsheet that displays all bill lines for all bills.
- Click Download CSV.
Field descriptions
The Bill Details report contains the following fields.

Invoice due date | The date the invoice is due to be paid |
Currency | The currency of the invoice |

Original amount | The original (unadjusted) amount submitted by the payer |
Invoice status | The status of the bill (see Bill statuses) |
Approval date | The date the payer approved the bill for payment |
Ref code | The reference code for the invoice |
SAP ID | The Service access point identifier, as entered by the payer |
PO ID | The Tipalti payment order identifier linked to the invoice |
Internal notes | Notes that are not displayed to the payee |
Entity name | Payer entity linked to this bill |
Payment method | Payee payment method |
Provider account | The name of the Tipalti provider account used for the payment |
Income type | The income type applied to the payment (see Income types) |
Income type code | The income code associated with the income type (see Income types) |
Invoice number | The number of the invoice |
Description | A description of the invoice |

Custom fields | If custom fields have been defined for the bill or bill line entity, the field name is the display name and the value is what was defined on the bill. |
Required user role View Bills
The Aging report provides visibility over outstanding balance based on the bill due date. You can download one of the following reports:
- Summary report - Provides aggregated outstanding balances per payee
- Detail report - Provides details of the underlying bills that sum up to each outstanding balance
Summary and detailed report – Provides both aggregated outstanding balances per payee and details of the underlying bills that sum up to each outstanding balance
To download:
- Click the Reports tab to open the list of available reports.
- In the menu, under "Bills", select "Aging report". The right side of the screen populates with information related to the report.
- In the "Report type" field, select "Summary", "Detail", or both.
- In the "Bill status" field, click
and select the relevant bill status.
- In the "Age as of" field, select the date.
If you have multiple entities, in the "EntityAn entity can be a subsidiary, division, business unit, brand, etc. of your organization. Entities can have similar or different AP processes and workflows." field, select the relevant entities.
- In the "Currency" field, click
and select the relevant currency.
- Click "Download".
Field descriptions
An aging report (i.e., Summary, Detail, or a combination of both) contains the following fields.

The status of the bill:

Open Balance | The amount that has not been paid to the payee yet |
FX Rate | The foreign exchange rate used to convert the Bill Amount Due to the currency selected by the user |
Converted Open Balance ([Currency]) | The result of applying the FX rate to the "Open Balance" amount |
Potential Duplicate Bill | It indicates if the bill is a duplicate bill |
