December 2024 release
Major announcements
The invoice review screen now supports invoice reviews that don’t require approvals, aligning more bill flows and further standardizing the invoice review experience.
The new design doesn’t support invoice reviews that require approvals from payees yet.
Previously, bills created from the Tipalti Hub that didn’t require approvals were saved as drafts—you could only code or submit them. The updated experience ensures all flows, including bill creation, start with a Pending review status so you can apply more bill options to each flow.
You can expand or collapse the invoice image area during Mass pay bill reviews, providing more space to view and review the coding. The new design simplifies the review process, ensuring a smoother workflow.
General announcements
When Tipalti runs a sync with Intacct that shows an asset's amortization, it now syncs the amortization start date and amortization classes. This helps you easily view the asset's costs and value over time.
You can view a more accurate breakdown of costs and analyze the long-term benefits of an expense long after it was initially reported in your company’s financial reports.
Limitations: Currently, amortization only supports non-PO-backed bills.
We revamped the form builder in the new Procurement experience to give admins an intuitive, consumer-grade experience when customizing procurement forms. The upgraded Form builder now supports:
Role-specific forms — Admins can define per persona: Requestor, Approver, Vendor. This makes it easier for them to understand and tailor each persona's experience throughout the request process.
Role-specific display names — Admins can assign different display names to the same field for each role. For example, a field in the Requestor form might state, Describe why you need this purchase, while that same field can appear as Description for approvers, optimizing clarity.
Streamlined field settings — The redesigned Field settings popup is more intuitive, reducing errors and improving the form customization process.
In addition, in the Requestor form, admins can default the values for the subsidiary and segment fields based on the employee making the request. When an employee makes a purchase request, Tipalti fills these fields in automatically, and employees can override these entries if needed.
If you create an expense on the mobile app or in the Tipalti Hub for mileage reimbursements, you can now attach a screenshot of the route so your company has all the details it needs to remain compliant when auditing its accounts. The screenshot confirms the mileage covered, so there are no discrepancies when issuing reimbursements.
The feature was implemented across mobile, in the Expenses section in the Tipalti Hub, and Home.
You can now add unlimited cards to your Fund by Card account and delete any inactive cards. This adds flexibility to the Fund by Card method and the streamlined, seamless experience.

he payee name displays in the notes for payment transaction types listed in your account statement, so you no longer have to navigate away to determine to whom the payment was made.
