We’ve added more functionality to the new Procurement experience, making it more streamlined and more effortless for you to communicate with vendors and keep up to date with purchase requests.
If you’re using the new Procurement experience, you can enjoy these new enhancements. The new Procurement experience is being gradually rolled out to all customers throughout 2025.
The latest updates include:
Message vendors using comments: Payers can now communicate with vendors in the Tipalti Hub by posting comments, accelerating the onboarding process. Vendors can see and respond to these comments in the Supplier Hub.
Mark items as received: You can also mark the items you've received in a purchase orderA purchase order (PO) is a legally binding contract established between you and your supplier that outlines types, quantities, and agreed upon prices for products or services, keeping your order history and company accounts up to date. After you created the request, you can expect an email from Tipalti with a link that takes you straight to Receivals to find a list of your purchased items.
Choose when to onboard vendors: Admins can customize when vendor onboarding is included in the purchase request approval process, streamlining the approval process and ensuring vendors only need to go through onboarding for specific situations.
Receive Slack notifications about approving requests: Approvers can receive notifications in Slack letting them know there’s a purchase request ready for their review.
Purchase orders are now linked to purchase requests: Approved purchase requests display a link to the purchase order, making it easier to keep records organized.
Currently for USD Virtual Accounts only; other currencies will be added in future releases.
We’re excited to introduce credit card funding as a new funding method. You can now conveniently use your corporate credit cards— Visa or MasterCard—within Tipalti to fund your USD Virtual Accounts quickly. To enhance transaction security, we've integrated 3-D Secure technology to provide an additional layer of authentication for credit card transactions, further protecting against fraud.
With fund by card, you can save your card details in Tipalti, knowing the details are secure, and benefit from effortless, one-click funding. You can efficiently manage your cash flow by utilizing credit cards, ensuring immediate funds availability, or leveraging issuer credit lines to maintain liquidity. This also provides flexibility for one-off funding, allowing companies to choose when and how much to fund using your credit cards.
Each deposit made with your card incurs a fee of 2.9%.
General announcements
If you have entities in the US, you now have a more streamlined way to add payees’ Paypal and ACHAutomated Clearing House payment details without sending them to the iFrame or Supplier Hub. If you already have the payees’ Paypal and ACH payment details and want to speed up creating their profiles, you can now import a CSV with that info through File import.
Admins can add PayPal and ACH payment fields to the Payees import file template in Administration > File integration.
After the admin adds the fields to the template, you can import PayPal and ACH details for multiple payees in Integrations > File import using a CSV. Tipalti runs validation checks on upload to ensure the details are correct.
Payees must complete onboarding via the iFrame/Supplier Hub to sign Tipalit’s terms of service and complete tax forms (when applicable).
If you want to know your account users' permissions in Tipalti, you can download the User permissions report in Reports. The report provides a breakdown of users' permissions and when they last logged into Tipalti. It helps you run internal audits to meet compliance and regulatory requirements and gives you more visibility into their users’ permissions in the Tipalti Hub.
We’ve added more fields to the 1042-s preparation report. The new fields are:
Chapter indicator
Chapter 3 exemption code
Chapter 4 exemption code
In addition, the Chapter 3 status code field now maps the Chapter 3 status into the correct code.
This enhancement saves you time as Tipalti can provide you with the correct tax information. You no longer need to enter the details yourself, regardless of which provider you use to file 1042-s reports for the IRSInternal Revenue Service. The chapter codes are calculated based on the W8 info you already have in the report.
Additional updates
When you create a virtual or physical card, you can require cardholders to review all card transactions if that’s a company requirement.
Now, if you’ve preconfigured all the required coding, you can skip the finance team's review of all transactions made on the card.
