Submit payments
When your bills reach the pending payment tab, several options are available to help you prepare them for payment by deciding when and how much to pay. If necessary, you can hold payment until you have sufficient funds. If you paid outside Tipalti, you can mark the bills as paid manually.
Preparing payments helps you plan your payment schedule and ensure payments are only made when the funds are in your account. Any bills submitted for payment or paid manually display in the All bills tab and as part of a payment batch in the Manage payments screen in Payments.
To prepare a bill for payment:
In Bills, click the Pending payment tab.
Click the 3-dot icon to the right of the bill listing.

Select the option you want to take and follow the steps.
Open in new tab opens the bill in a new tab so you can view the details
Download invoice downloads a copy of the invoice to your device
Hold payment pauses payment. Enter a reason why and click Confirm.
You can go back to the bill later, click the 3-dot icon and Release hold or pay it.
To pay the bill in full, click Pay. Then prepare payment.
To pay part of the bill, click Partial payment. Then prepare payment.

If you paid the bill outside Tipalti:
Click Mark as paid manually, and enter a reason.
Click Mark as paid manually again.
Delete deletes the bill.
The payment moves to the All bills tab and Payments > Manage payments.
To submit multiple bills for payment:
In Bills, click the Pending payment tab.
Select the checkboxes to the left of the bill listings.
Choose the option you want to take. The action bar might provide fewer options than the 3-dot menu to the left of each bill listing.
Follow the steps based on your selection.
An action bar displays at the top of the list.
If you clicked Pay to pay the bill in full, you’re asked to prepare payment.

Select when you want to pay the bill:
Pay bills based on payment cycle if you want to pay the bill based on the payee’s payment cycle.
Pay bill on specific date and enter the date if you want to pay it on a particular date.
Click Prepare payments. The Submit payments overview displays.

Check the details to view:
If vendor credit applies
There’s enough funds to make payment
Which payment batch the payment is in
You can view any errors and warnings you might need to resolve before making payment in the Errors and warnings tab
Click the Payment instructions tab to view the ref code and other details.
You can download the instructions as a CSV by clicking the CSV icon on the right.
Click Submit in the top right.
The payment moves to the All bills tab and Payments > Manage payments.
If you clicked Pay partial amount to part-pay the bill:
In Payment amount, either change the amount you want to pay or change the percentage you want to pay.
Click Prepare payments. The Submit payments overview displays.
